As part of the forthcoming UK User group kickoff that Ben Rose is organising, I'm going to try and kick off a Scottish User group.
This will meet on a rolling basis every month in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen, primarily as a networking and communcation "social" event - beer+ curry. Once in a while, we can organise a larger event where we get guest speakers, etc. (Mr Brill, for instance, has only been in Scotland ONCE! This has to be fixed!)
(This broadly mirrors the "European Lotus cc:Mail user group" stuff that I was part of over 10 years ago in the Aberdeen area, for those of you with long memories..)
I'm suggesting meeting on Thursday 15th September, in Edinburgh after the
Versko ND7
"Live" event in Edinburgh..
(In the interests of Balance, and because Ashok and I go way back and he'd slap me if I didnt mention it -
CES Services are also running an ND7 Live event in Edinburgh near the end of September).
So who'd like to meet up around 6-7pm in Edinburgh, at a central location (yet to be decided) for nothing more strenuous than a beer and a chin-wag ?
